Position: CCTV OperativeAll potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.Location: Southern Water, Harestock WTW, Andover Road, Harestock, Winchester, SO22 6NRLine Reporting Manager: Senior Transport SchedulerHours: 06:00am - 16:00pm 50hour weekPrinciple Duties and Accountabilities:Drive and operate specialist CCTV underground pipe survey rig, working on private and public land in strict accordance with statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.Roles and Responsibilities:Interpret survey results and prepare comprehensive condition reports to industry standardsUndertake basic H&S vehicle checks at the start and finish of each shiftReport all defects, accidents and near misses immediately to line managerEnsure all jobs are correctly documented with work tickets submitted at the end of each shiftMaintain the drivers log book in compliance with MOT rules and proceduresEnsure the condition of all issued personal protective clothing and equipment remains fit for purpose, clean and free from defects.Keep the vehicle and equipment washed down on a weekly basis, free from rubbish.Undertake ad-hoc duties as and when your vehicle is off the road or you are required to assist other field teams in exceptional circumstancesAttend meetings, medical and training courses as requiredHealth & Safety:Section 7 of the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) states the general duties of employees at workIt shall be the duty of every employee while at work to:(a) To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work; and(b) as regards any duty or requirement imposed on their employer or any other person by or under any of the relevant statutory provisions, to co-operate with them so far as is necessary to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied withCCTV Operative Health and Safety Responsibilities are:To understand and comply with the company health and safety policyTo influence and promote a positive health, safety culture within the organisation and lead by exampleTo ensure all works activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with legislative, company policies, procedures and the works RAMSTo carry out comprehensively and complete in full, all company required health and safety site documentationTo ensure the company health and safety documentation is read and understood on the tabletsEnsure VPRs are carried out and completed in fullDRAs are to be carried out for every job and updated where requiredTo report all health, safety and environmental incidents to the Line Manager within 2 hours of it happeningQualifications / Competency:OS19X Qualification DesiredFlexible with working hours (we can be very reactive at times and teams are expected to assist as much as they can)Must hold a Full UK 7.5ton Drivers LicenseStandpipe Usage Competency TrainingSonde CertificateMust have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulationsAble to deal with the public in a polite and friendly mannerAble to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotelyReport into management when required and to complete work tickets, log books etc.Work consistently to high standards of health and safetyBenefits:Company eventsCompany pensionFree parking / On-site parkingHealth & wellbeing programmeDeath in service coverReferral programmePPE SuppliedTPBN1_UKTJ
