And as our Assistant Leader & Lead Chef , you'll be at the heart of it all-guiding the team, setting the tone, and leading by example every day.Your key areas of responsibility:Lead and inspire our caf and kitchen teams, bringing energy and direction to daily operations while taking full ownership of the caf's success, both front and back of house.Maintain exceptional food quality by ensuring every dish is prepared and served to our exacting standards following recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation expectations every time.Manage food costs effectively by following best practices in storage, portioning, and waste reduction ensuring proper use of ingredients, accurate recipe execution, and consistent temperature checks for safe refrigeration and storage.Actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and suggestions to continually improve our food offering and overall caf operations.Take the lead on kitchen training, guiding the team through everything from ordering and stock management to food prep, equipment safety, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.You'll bring passion, positivity, and a natural ability to lead and inspire with proven experience in a similar role. With a background in a busy kitchen or hospitality setting, you know how to keep calm under pressure and deliver consistently high standards. You're also organised, proactive, and happiest when rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in alongside the team.
