With a strong reputation across the automotive, aerospace, and logistics sectors, the company offers a stable and rewarding environment for skilled engineers looking to grow their careers.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative team, values safety and precision, and is eager to work on diverse and technically challenging projects.Overview of the Field Service Engineer Role:As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, wiring, and commissioning of control systems across a variety of industrial environments. You'll work both in the workshop and on-site, supporting the deployment of advanced automation systems and ensuring high-quality electrical installations.Key Responsibilities:Install control panels, cable containment, 24V DC and mains wiring, motors, sensors, and I/O nodesTerminate field cables and wire control panels to CAD specificationsTravel to customer sites for installation and commissioning phasesSupport integration of PLCs, CNCs, servo drives, and invertersCollaborate closely with in-house electrical designersPerform I/O testing and Fieldbus checks (desirable)Candidate Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of electrical systems and safety regulationsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawingsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsWillingness to travel, work weekends, and stay overnight when requiredDesirable: PLC experience for I/O and Fieldbus testingBenefits:Competitive salary with excellent overtime opportunities23 days holiday plus bank holidaysTime off in lieu for weekend workWorkplace pension schemeTraining on new technologies and systemsExposure to a wide range of industries and projectsSupportive and collaborative team environmentATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
