Electrical Maintenance EngineerAre you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.Newbridge-on-Wye18.94 per hour + Overtime + Excellent BenefitsNEOS Engineering are partnered with a well-established manufacturing business in the timber sector , on the lookout for a hands-on Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Newbridge-on-Wye. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background who enjoys being part of a fast-paced, process-driven environment.You'll be joining a structured and supportive engineering team, working on a 3-week rotating shift pattern (Mornings, Afternoons & Nights no Saturdays, only 1 Sunday in 3) with plenty of paid overtime available (x1.5 after 39 hours and x2 on Sundays!).Key Responsibilities:Carry out electrical maintenance and repairs across sawmilling and biomass facilities.Tackle breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime and maximise site output.Work across a variety of equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems.Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.Support continuous improvement and small-scale installation projects.Fault-find and diagnose issues with single-phase, three-phase, and control circuits.Assist with the development of apprentices and junior team members where needed.Requirements:Strong electrical background with hands-on engineering experience.Confident fault-finding and working on three-phase motors and industrial systems.Good understanding of preventative maintenance systems and safe working practices.Team player with solid communication skills and a proactive attitude.Advantageous (but not essential): PLC knowledge (e.g. Siemens, Beckhoff), 17th or 18th Edition, basic computer literacy (Word/Excel).What We Offer:Competitive hourly rate with generous overtime pay structure.No weekend slog only 1 in 3 Sundays and no Saturdays.Holiday scheme with flexibility (bank holidays can be booked off if desired).Excellent staff benefits including discounts, well-being support, and funded training.Long-term development and career opportunities within a growing UK industry leader.Please apply with an up-to-date CV and feel free to include a short cover letter explaining why this role is right for you.Thanks for taking the time to apply.
