Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Locum Practice Nurse to support Dressing Clinics, in Lincoln.The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have. Location: Lincoln, LN6 Shift Times: 8:30am - 5:30pm Contract: Locum (shift dates below) Pay: 27 LTD p/h | 23.80 PAYE Incl p/h Clinic Set Up: typically 20 min apt, visits may be required but very rare Shifts: JUNE:13th16th17th19th23rd24th25th30th JULY:1st2nd3rd4th7th8th9th10th11th14th15th16th17th18th21st22nd23rd24th25th28th29th30th31st The suitable candidate will have extensive experience with wound management, experience with S1 and an NHS Smartcard. Management of Simple Wounds:Application of simple dressingsRemove sutures and clips from uncomplicated wounds arising from a secondary care procedure. Clip/staple removers will be provided by the discharging providerPost-operative care of surgical wounds in patients where the care of such wounds falls within the skill and experience of the staff involved.Follow up wound care arising from attendance at - Surgical Service, Minor Injury Units, Urgent Treatment Centres and Accident and Emergency Units.Management of Complex Wounds:Includes post-operative cavity wounds, including infected wounds and topical negative pressure application; fungating lesions; pressure ulcers; wound fistulae; pilonidal sinus abscesses; wounds requiring vacuum dressing and wounds that fail to heal.Often, there are one or more complicating factors e.g. exudate infection, comorbidity or polypharmacy.
