Arconic is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Tennessee Operations facility, located in Alcoa, Tennessee. He or she will also provide technical leadership and training to mechanical and electrical craft employees. The selected candidate may also lead a small team of production employees. They will have a strong maintenance background with verifiable, hands-on mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repair experience within an industrial environment. Candidates with supervisory experience, hydraulics, and PLC troubleshooting knowledge are strongly desired. We strive to create a safe, inclusive and collaborative workplace with competitive benefits, development opportunities and a culture that values and rewards employees on all levels of the organization.Responsibilities for Internal CandidatesPrimary Responsibilities Supervising union mechanical and electrical craft within the department, acting as a resource for maintenance guidance to craft and other manufacturing personnelProviding technical maintenance support for assigned areaExecuting planned and unplanned work to meet department goalsCoordinate repairs with customers to ensure minimal equipment downtime.Following-up on equipment issues, and developing technical problem-solving solutionsProviding on-call response to remedy critical maintenance situationsEngaging in continuous improvement initiatives of manufacturing methods, working hand in hand with craft employeesAdhering to Arconic EH&S, quality, continuous improvement, and other company policiesAssuming other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as requiredQualifications for Internal CandidatesBasic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED1+ years of maintenance supervisory experienceProficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong maintenance background with 2-4 years of hands-on mechanical and or electrical experience in an industrial environmentPreferred Qualifications Associates or BS degree in a technical fieldPrevious work experience in a similar role5+ years heavy industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experienceKnowledge of PLCs and hydraulic systemsArconic’s Tennessee Operations, is one of the most modern aluminum fabricating facilities in the world.
