Are you looking to make a difference in information governance?Your contribution will support Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust in achieving its confidentiality and data protection goals. Main duties include: Supporting the Head of Information Governance and Assurance in developing and ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018. Providing advice on handling personal information, Data Protection, Data Security, and Confidentiality. Training staff on Information Governance and Data Protection policies. Serving as secretary to the Information Governance and Security Steering Group (IGSSG). Supporting the IG department's activities and attending to periodic visits to University Hospital Lewisham. Candidate requirements: Relevant experience or a graduate qualification. Experience within the NHS and in Information Governance or related fields. Experience with external assessments like DSPT, CQC, and ICO. Skills and knowledge: Effective communication skills across complex environments. Understanding of legal frameworks such as the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Data Protection Act 2018, and confidentiality guidance. Knowledge of the NHS roles and records management. Project experience. Personal qualities: Team player with confidence and enthusiasm. Diplomatic, adaptable, and organized. Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
