Key Focus AreasSafety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department. Review work forecasts and determine productivity requirements to meet overall building objectives. Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor, ensuring efficient shifts while meeting goals. Support safety programs and OSHA compliance for a safe work environment. Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesLead and train a team of warehouse associates responsible for fulfilling customer orders. Ensure proper training and address team members' needs to enable focus on their roles. Lead change at internet speed, fostering innovation to maintain our global leadership. Additional Job ElementsPhysical activities including bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching. Frequent walking and standing within facilities over a quarter mile in length. Ability to work in noisy, unlit, or non-air-conditioned environments. Access all building areas safely, including ladders, stairs, and gangways. Skills RequiredManagement experience with employee performance. Experience with performance metrics and process improvement. Flexibility to work weekends, overnight shifts, and various work areas. QualificationsBasic Qualifications2+ years of employee and performance management experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience. Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications1+ years experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
