The Role We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and support our growth. Working with our SRE Lead, you will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our platform's infrastructure and systems. You will also support our Data team with provisioning and tuning our Data platform, and help our development teams optimize their applications and CI/CD pipelines. This is a fully remote position within the UTC-0 and UTC+2 timezones. Some of the things you'll be doing Delivering clean, architecturally sound, maintainable, and secure infrastructure. Working closely with AWS infrastructure, particularly data services, to support database scalability and availability. Supporting engineering teams with infrastructure needs and platform support. Conducting performance tuning to optimize database performance and data processing efficiency. Implementing observability systems for infrastructure and data to ensure reliability, find areas for improvement, and proactively assess risks. Maintaining infrastructure with code, using Terraform to optimize AWS infrastructure. Documenting and promoting DevOps best practices across the engineering team. Conducting proofs-of-concept on new technologies and evaluating their fit for LoyaltyLion. Participating in blameless post-mortems to learn from incidents and prevent recurrence. Automating manual tasks to enhance efficiency. Implementing observability tools to continually improve platform performance. What we’re looking for 4+ years of experience with AWS. Deep knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform. Experience with agile development practices. Proficiency in observability & monitoring tools like DataDog & Cloudwatch. Bonus: experience with low latency, high-frequency transaction systems. Bonus: experience with data engineering tools like Redshift, Glue, Airflow, Athena. Strong problem diagnosis skills across various system levels. Ability to write clear, concise documentation. Our Stack AWS, Docker, ECS (Fargate), DataDog, PagerDuty, Postgres, Redshift, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Bash, Ruby, Python, Buildkite. The engineering team works remotely, with an option to work from our HQ in Farringdon.
