The role holder will be expected to convene, teach, and contribute to the strong research profile of the School of Law. In particular, the role holder will have substantive legal knowledge of one or more jurisdictions of Africa and will be expected to co-convene and teach on the compulsory LLB module, Legal Systems of Asia and Africa. It is desirable for the role holder to have interest or expertise in one or more of the following: customary law, law and gender in Africa, development, human rights, and/or areas of growing legal interest, e.g., technology, AI, environmental law or sustainability.
