Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team at Ashlea Court Care Home.This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills in complex care, working with residents who require support with conditions such as advanced dementia, neurological disorders, and complex medical needs.Key ResponsibilitiesCare Delivery: Support residents with complex needs, including those with neurological conditions, dementia, physical disabilities, and tracheostomy care.Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' conditions, working closely with nurses and healthcare professionals.Medication Support: Assist in administering medication as part of a personalized care plan.Dignity and Independence: Encourage residents to engage in activities that promote well-being while maintaining their autonomy.Nutrition and Hydration: Assist residents with PEG feeding or dietary plans, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.Safety Environment: Work alongside the wider team to ensure a secure, structured, and person-centered care setting.RequirementsQualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred, or a willingness to work towards it.Experience: Previous experience in a complex care, nursing home, or hospital setting is beneficial but not essential.Commitment to Learning: A strong desire to develop expertise in complex conditions such as dementia, neurological disorders, and physical disabilities.Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure the best outcomes for residents.What We OfferCompetitive Salary: £12.70 per hour.Contracted Hours: Up to 44 hours per week.Paid PVG: Yes.Uniform Provided: Yes.Onsite Parking: Available.Ancillary Benefits: 5.6 weeks annual leave, pension scheme.
