We are now looking for a meticulous and proactive Funding Audit and Compliance Officer to join our Executive department and help ensure our continued compliance with funding rules and regulations.The Role Working closely with the Funding Audit and Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our funded activities meet all ESFA, GLA, AEB, Apprenticeship and other external requirements. You&©ll conduct internal audits, identify risks and non-compliance issues, and support curriculum teams to implement improvements and raise audit standards.This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who enjoys digging into the details, collaborating across departments, and playing a vital part in maintaining the financial integrity of a public education provider.Key Responsibilities Conduct internal funding audits and data sampling to assess compliance with funding criteria. Identify and report on discrepancies, escalating non-compliance where appropriate. Liaise with curriculum and support departments to support audit readiness and understanding. Track and support the implementation of audit recommendations. Assist in staff training and contribute to developing guidance materials on funding compliance. Keep up to date with government funding regulations and ILR guidance. What We&©re Looking For A good standard of education, including English and Maths to Level 2 (GCSE grade 4/C or above). Degree-level qualification or minimum three years of relevant experience. Strong digital literacy with confidence in Excel and data systems (e.g. Tribal EBS). Solid understanding of education funding streams and compliance expectations. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
