Service Manager | Ofsted (Supported Accommodation, 16+) | multi-siteLocation: Southampton, HampshireSalary: £50,000 - £65,000 plus monthly performance bonusHours: Monday to Friday, full-timeWe're hiring a confident and experienced Service Manager to lead four supported accommodation homes for young people aged 16 and above. Together, the services support over 50 residents across block and flat-based accommodation and are regulated under Ofsted's supported accommodation framework.This is a newly created pivotal leadership role, not just running a single home, but leading structure, risk, referrals, and cultural reset across the organisation.As the Service Manager, you'll:• Lead the day-to-day running of four supported accommodation services for young people aged 16+• Oversee and develop the Deputy Manager and other leaders in the team• Make final decisions on referrals and placement risk (alongside the Referrals Manager)• Embed robust systems around medication, safeguarding, and incident response• Re-establish a clear 9-5 leadership structure, performance standards, and team accountability• Chair meetings, lead crisis management, and liaise with HR and senior leadership• Register with Ofsted (following probation), and prepare the service for future inspections• Work directly with the Directors on future growth and expansion strategyTo be considered, you'll need to show:• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within children's or 16+ supported accommodation• A strong track record of leading multi-site or large services under Ofsted regulation• The ability to build and embed operational processes from the ground up• Confidence in managing complex referrals and safeguarding decisions• Experience supporting young people with diverse and high-risk needs• Visible, structured, and emotionally intelligent leadership• Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willing to complete)• Daily travel across Southampton services (relocation support may be considered)In return, you'll get:• A base salary between £50,000 and £65,000 depending on experience• A monthly performance bonus• Supportive handover from the current leadership team• A unique opportunity to shape culture and operations at a pivotal stage• Real progression potential as the organisation expands into new cities• A strong Deputy Manager and stable team already in placeThis role suits a grounded, confident senior leader who thrives on structure, decision-making, and leading from the front.
