Process Development Technologist Salary: 28,000 - 30,000Are you passionate about food and fascinated by how ideas become products on supermarket shelves? We're looking for a Process Development Technologist to join our dynamic and fast-paced development team, helping to bring new and improved products to life from kitchen concept to full-scale factory production.In this hands-on role, youll play a key part in delivering new product development (NPD), existing product development (EPD), and continuous improvement projects. Youll work across departmentsdevelopment, production, technical, and planningto ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality product launches.What youll do:Lead and support factory trials, scaling up recipes from kitchen to full productionCollect and analyse trial data to ensure product quality, performance, and complianceLiaise with key teams to plan, execute, and launch new products in line with cost, quality, and timeline targetsOwn and maintain critical documentation to audit-ready standards, including trial reports, process flows, and specificationsDrive continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies, cost savings, and innovation opportunitiesSupport post-launch reviews, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to long-term process development strategiesWhat were looking for:A passion for food and a genuine interest in how products are madeA food-related degree or experience in an FMCG/food manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential)Strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving skillsA hands-on, flexible attitude and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teamsWillingness to support occasional night/weekend trials and travel to other sites when neededThis is a great opportunity for someone at the early stages of their food manufacturing career orsomeone ready to take the next step in process development.Unfortunately, this vacancy cannot support sponsorship or PSW Visa and all applicants must have full UK right to work.If this sounds like it might be good, please click apply and I will call you with more information.
