Cook Residential Short Breaks Service Location: Hamilton, ML3A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.Hours: Part time- Monday to Friday, 3:00pm 7:00pm (Potential for extended hours on Mondays & Fridays)Contract: 8 Weeks (Starting ASAP)Service Type: Residential Short Breaks for Young People with Learning Disabilities21 HSC are seeking a dedicated Cook for a short termresidential service providing short-term care to young people with learning disabilities.In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for preparing home-cooked evening meals and occasional baking for 10 young people. Many service users have specific dietary requirements , so attention to detail and awareness of allergies or special diets is essential.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and serve nutritious, home-cooked mealsCater to a range of dietary needs and allergiesSupport meal planning and, if required, shopping (additional hours available)Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanlinessRequirements:Experience cooking for groups (experience in care or education settings is a plus)Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen managementFood hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain)Reliable, flexible, and ideally available for the full 8-week termCompassionate and understanding of the needs of young people with disabilitiesTo ApplyTo apply for this role, please click apply and send an up-to-date CV in support of your application in the first instance.
