Ascent Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a market-leading e-commerce business in South Manchester to recruit a Financial Controller.You’ll lead the finance team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, working closely with the FD to drive efficiencies and transform the finance function in line with ambitious growth plans.This role is ideal for an ambitious Finance Manager ready to step up or an experienced Financial Controller seeking a fresh challenge.Key Responsibilities:Deliver monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with financial analysisLead month-end close, ensuring timely adjustments and reconciliationsManage cashflows to optimise working capitalCollaborate with Merchandise teams on stock controlOversee invoice finance facilityMentor and develop finance and non-finance staffContinuously review and improve financial controls, processes, and systemsSupport budgeting and forecasting, providing financial insightsEnsure all HMRC, VAT, and tax submissions are accurate and timelyKey Requirements:ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified (or QBE with relevant experience)Hands-on, proactive problem solver with high resilienceStrong communicator with excellent attention to detailAdvanced Excel skills; Sage experience a bonusStrong analytical mindsetExperience in wholesale and/or e-commerce is highly desirableSalary & Key Benefits:Up to £70,00025 days holiday + birthday + bank holidaysFlexible hybrid workingApply now for a fast response.
