Title: Assistant Manager - Internal ControlsSector: InsuranceSalary: £75,000 + bonus & benefitsLocation: London (hybrid)Venator Search is exclusively partnered with a leading London-based insurance firm to support the strategic expansion of their 2nd Line of Defence (2LOD) Internal Controls team. We are seeking a talented Assistant Manager to join this fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the global embedding of a strong risk and control culture, with a particular focus on non-financial internal controls. You will play a key role in shaping the firm’s control framework, collaborating with stakeholders across functions, and driving continuous improvement in risk management practices.ResponsibilitiesSupport the ongoing management and enhancement of non-financial internal controls across the Group.Assist in the implementation and execution of second-line controls testing, ensuring consistency and quality across global operations.Proactively identify and raise awareness of emerging risks and control requirements, providing timely insight to relevant stakeholders.Partner with local operations teams to coach, train, and embed a robust local control environment, aligned with Group standards.Stay abreast of developments in the London Insurance Market and assess their implications for the firm's control framework.Contribute to ad hoc Group Risk projects, supporting broader risk initiatives and strategic priorities.ExperienceCurrently working in Internal or External Audit, Financial Services Risk Advisory, or within an in-house Internal Controls or Risk team.Demonstrates strong experience and understanding of non-financial internal controls, such as operational, regulatory, or conduct-related controls.Brings a solid grasp of the London Insurance Market, with the ability to anticipate how market developments may impact the firm's risk and control environment.Confident working with stakeholders across jurisdictions and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
