You'll play a key role in delivering a proactive, customer-focused housing repairs service across the council’s residential portfolio.The Role Reporting into the Repairs Lead, you’ll be carrying out inspections, diagnosing defects, specifying works, and managing contractors or DLO teams to deliver responsive and minor works safely, on time, and to budget.Responsibilities: Pre, post and void property inspectionsIssuing work orders and specifications using SORsOverseeing repairs through to completionCoordinating with Housing Officers and residentsMonitoring KPIs, cost control, and quality assuranceSupporting compliance around H&S, asbestos and CDMParticipating in out-of-hours standby rotaRequirements: Strong understanding of domestic building maintenanceExperience writing specs and managing responsive repairsConfident communicator, comfortable with residents and trade teams alikeIT literate – ideally with housing systems (e.g. Keystone, Orchard etc.)Working knowledge of H&S legislation (asbestos, CDM, safeguarding)Full UK driving licence & access to vehicle (ECU allowance provided)HNC/HND or trade background advantageousIf interested please feel free to get in touch on 01772 208967 or via email at james.glover@.uk
