As an heir to her father André Messika's diamond legacy, Valerie has combined tradition with modern luxury. We are now seeking a dedicated Assistant Boutique Manager to join our Selfridges team and represent the Messika spirit.The GoalAs Assistant Boutique Manager, you will support the Grand Department Stores Director in overseeing the daily operations and performance of the boutique. You will play a key leadership role by helping to drive sales, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and support the development and motivation of the boutique team. You act as a true ambassador of the Messika brand and ensure that the Maison’s standards and values are reflected in all aspects of the boutique’s activity.What you do ?Support the team in achieving and surpassing boutique sales targets and KPIs set by the Grand Department Stores Director.Lead by example in delivering outstanding service and driving individual sales performance.Identify and seize commercial opportunities, both locally and with international clientele.Assist in motivating, coaching, and developing the team to meet performance and service expectations.Contribute to the coaching, training, and development of team members to meet Messika’s luxury standards.Communicate Messika’s policies and directives clearly and objectively.Ensure sufficient staffing and operational support at all times.Ensure clear communication of the Maison’s standards, values, and operational procedures.Help plan schedules, ensure adequate coverage, and foster a collaborative team environment.Act as a key point of contact for elevated client needs and service recovery when necessary.Ensure each client receives a personalized, memorable experience in line with the Messika Selling Ceremony.Support the development of a loyal and engaged client base through effective clienteling and CRM initiatives.Take ownership of client follow-ups, VIP appointments, and after-sales service cases.Oversee stock management including reception, transfers, and participation in inventories.Monitor merchandising and product presentation in accordance with Maison guidelines.Ensure all products are accurately priced, labeled, and securely handled.Maintain proper stock levels for packaging, catalogues, and boutique materials.Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and boutique organization.Ensure compliance with safety, security, and company operational policies.Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports including sales performance and customer analytics.Provide feedback and actionable insights to the Grand Department Stores Director.Participate actively in boutique meetings and propose ideas to improve operations or sales initiatives.Job ProfileExperience:Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury retail, ideally in fine jewelry.Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role.Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is a plus.Skills Required:Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-pressure environment.Passion for the brand and a selling environment.Intellectual curiosity and passion for continuous learning.Additional language skills are a plus.Passionate about luxury.Knowledge of diamonds and stones.Understanding and application of stock management procedures.
