We are looking for experienced Butchers to run our Butchery Departments as if they were their own business. This is an exciting role where you will work with customers to develop their business, understand your local market, and provide excellent service. This role offers the flexibility to manage a butchery business without the financial risk. We seek someone with good product knowledge of all meat proteins, who is self-motivated and eager to succeed. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards in stock management, food safety procedures (including record-keeping), managing fresh and pre-packed meat displays, staff morale, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with the Store Manager to develop a business plan that supports sales growth and increased profitability. Your duties will also involve greeting and advising customers, answering questions, accepting orders, managing stock and stocktaking, leading a small team with staff rotas, cutting meat to order, cleaning tools and equipment, coordinating deliveries or pickups, and controlling waste.
