Technical Manager OverviewOur client is looking for a Garment Technical Manager to join their team in a newly-created position. You will work on ladies multiproduct, and commercial experience in this area is essential.You will oversee the entire technical development process, from concept to final production, ensuring garments are technically feasible, high quality and meet customer expectations.Technical Manager ResponsibilitiesManage the technical development of garmentsWork closely with the design and fabric teams, to ensure tech packs, fabrics and trims meet the customer requirementsCreate and maintain a block libraryManage and lead your Garment Technologist teamsIdentify and address and Design Rick Assessments early in the development stageCommunicate with sales about any technical limitations related to design or productionInitiate and lead virtual meetings to follow up on open issuesRegularly liaise with the Technical Director to provide updates on development progress, technical issues, production timelines and support on customer visitsOversee product testing and fabric performance during developmentTechnical Manager Skills and ExperienceExperience in garment technical development, with strong expertise in garment construction, pattern making, fit and manufacturing processesStrong team management and leadership skillsA proactive, hands on approach to solving technical issues and driving continuous improvement.
