Job Description

As a Data Product Owner, you’ll take ownership of key data products—particularly those involved in the migration of reporting assets from legacy platforms to our new Azure-based lakehouse. You will act as the voice of the business within the data team, ensuring that solutions align to user needs and drive measurable value.Requirements Translation – Work with stakeholders across Sales, Lettings, Marketing, and Finance to understand reporting and analytics needs, converting them into precise and concise documentation and user stories for developers and engineers.Data Model Migration – Lead the functional mapping of legacy Power BI models into a centralised semantic layer on our new data platform.Product Ownership – Own and prioritise the delivery backlog, ensuring clarity of requirements, technical feasibility, and alignment with platform goals.Reporting Optimisation – Review and rationalise existing Power BI products to improve adoption, performance, and value to the business.Stakeholder Engagement – Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and reviews to ensure stakeholder alignment throughout delivery cycles.Delivery Support – Create and maintain Jira tickets, update the delivery schedule, and support sprint planning to ensure transparency and progress tracking.Project Scoping – Assist in planning and evaluating data-related projects, including third-party integrations, cost-benefit analysis, and marketing attribution initiatives.Quality Assurance – Actively participate in UAT and functional reviews to ensure solutions meet business expectations.Why Join Us?Competitive Salary – £60,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.Hybrid Working – Flexibility to work from home part of the week.Platform Transformation – Help deliver one of Foxtons’ most strategically important initiatives Own Key Data Products – Shape the structure, scope, and delivery of core reporting and analytics tools Business Impact – Be the critical link between technical build teams and decision-making functions 25 Days Annual Leave – Plus one day per year for charity volunteering Enhanced Parental Leave – Generous policies for parents and carers Wellbeing Support – Subsidised gym, mental health resources, and enhanced sick pay Foxtons Perks – Regular social events, discounts on property services, and a vibrant office environmentAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will need:Product Ownership Experience – At least 3 years in a data-focused product owner, business analyst, or delivery lead role within a fast-paced environment.Business-Facing Communication – Proven ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders and frontline users to uncover needs and clarify priorities.Analytical Awareness – Familiarity with data models, metrics, and Power BI dashboards—enough to critique, validate, and suggest improvements. Must be able to write SQL.Delivery Focus – Confident working with Agile tools like Jira and Confluence, with a structured and proactive approach to backlog management.Project Scoping Skills – Able to assess business opportunities, define scope, and evaluate ROI for proposed initiatives, especially those involving external partners.Documentation Excellence – Capable of producing high-quality functional documentation, wireframes, and handover materials to ensure delivery accuracy.Platform Familiarity – Understanding of cloud-based data environments, ideally Azure, and an appreciation for medallion/lake house architectureCommercial Mindset – A strong appreciation for how data can unlock business value through better insight, automation, and strategic focus.About UsFoxtons is London’s leading estate agency, driven by a data-first approach across all areas of our business.
