A global leader in the life sciences sector is seeking a Product Owner on a contract basis to help shape and deliver impactful digital products. This is a key opportunity for an experienced contractor to work closely with commercial and technical teams, ensuring business needs are clearly translated into actionable product requirements.Acting as the bridge between stakeholders and developers, the successful candidate will play a central role in aligning business goals with agile product delivery. Your role as Product OwnerCollaborate with commercial and operational stakeholders to define and document project scope and user requirements.Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring focus on business impact and delivery timelines.Translate user and business needs into clear, structured user stories with defined acceptance criteria.Facilitate communication between business sponsors and development teams to ensure alignment on priorities.Develop a deep understanding of existing business processes to assess the impact of proposed product changes.Flag risks, issues, and dependencies early, escalating to the project manager as needed for smooth delivery. Experience and qualifications for the Product Owner role3+ years of experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role within an agile development environment.Strong understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.Proven ability to gather, document, and prioritise user and business requirements in a structured way.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and commercial teams.Solid analytical thinking, with a focus on delivering business value through technology.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Additional skills such as UX familiarity or basic SQL knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
