You’ll work across the business to manage a wide range of motor and liability claims, support investigations, lead on documentation for litigation, and engage directly with brokers, insurers, and legal teams.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a diverse claims portfolio (up to £25,000), including motor, liability, and incident claimsPrepare and submit litigation documents, obtaining approvals where requiredAct as the key liaison between internal departments, external solicitors, and The Quest PartnershipTriage Vehicle Incident Reports (VIRs) and ensure drivers are supported in providing statements or attending courtSupport audits, maintain compliance with legal and policy standards, and contribute to policy reviewsAnalyse and report on claims performance, risks, and insurance metricsRetrieve CCTV evidence, liaise with IT, and coordinate with senior stakeholders and SHEQ partnersEnsure accurate, confidential data handling and GDPR compliance at all timeEssential SkillsPrevious motor claims handling experience (insurer, broker, or legal environment)Strong working knowledge of transport legislation and risk/compliance processesHigh level of personal organisation and autonomy in managing complex caseworkExcellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships across functionsAbility to manage sensitive legal documentation and litigation preparationProven experience in proactively improving claims processes and reducing risksDesirable SkillsProgress toward or completion of a CII professional qualificationExperience conducting audits or compliance reviewsExposure to the transport or bus industry environmentFamiliarity with CCTV, incident investigation, or Quest coordinationHours of work38 hours per week, Monday to Friday The Equality ActMetroline is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment with due regard to legal obligations for protected characteristics i.e. age, disability, marriage and civil partnership, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief, sex and sexual orientation.Why apply?This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of Metroline’s risk, claims and insurance operations.
