From hospitality, to the F1 paddock and pop-ups in the Fanzone, we collaborate with partners like McLaren, AWS, and eBay to craft unmissable moments that put fans at the heart of the action.Description of the roleWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Simulator Technician to join our team. Thisunique role combines technical responsibilities in the maintenance and operation ofsimulation equipment as well as associated warehouse duties. The ideal candidate willhave a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability towork in a dynamic and fast paced environment.The position holder requires good technical experience with a skill base across all aspectsof simulator equipment including technologies such as static and motion simulatorsincluding hardware and software. A strong technical knowledge of PCs is essential withthe ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve technical issues in live environments.Some National and International travel may be required as part of the role and therefore aPassport and Full Driving Licence are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesSimulator Maintenance, Testing and Operation:Set up, operate, and maintain various racing simulation equipment and software.Prepare, test and pack racing simulation equipment and software for deployment into live environments.Provide onsite and remote support during live events both nationally and internationally (where required).Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to simulator performance.Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on simulators to ensure optimal functionality.Collaborate with engineers and developers to implement software updates and enhancements.Assist in the management of sim servers, race telemetery and back-end operations.Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of simulator usage.Warehouse Operative Duties:Assist in receiving, storing, and distributing simulation equipment and materials in the warehouse inline with our stock management process and systems.Maintain organisation and cleanliness of the warehouse and simulator areas.Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed (training provided).Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all warehouse operations.Collaboration and Communication:Coordinate with team members to ensure seamless integration of simulator operations and warehouse logistics.Provide technical assistance and training to staff and users of the simulation equipment including freelance members of staff.Communicate effectively with management regarding simulator performance and warehouse inventory levels.Contribute to maximising the use of company IT systems including Current.Environmental Management:Ensure that all activities are carried out strictly in accordance with The Group Environmental System with regard to the policy and supporting procedures.Other:Perform any other duties as directed by the Operations Manager or Operations Director.Working week: 40 hours per week Flexible working hours to coincide with the needs of thebusiness and event schedule.Location: Unit 6, Highwall Business Park, Tetron Way, Swadlincote, Sth.Derbyshire, DE11 0AFHolidays: 20 days plus statutory holidaysResponsible to: Group Operations ManagerAll employees and contractors within the group are expected to operate in line with thecompany values, a copy of which will be provided with the contract of employment.
