Main duties of the jobTo work as a prime care provider in all aspects of midwifery care. To work flexibly within the team to provide 24 hour cover on the postnatal ward. This will require rotation between day/night duty across the week. The post holder is expected to be an expert clinical midwife who will give advice and guidance on the midwifery care of women and pregnant people, babies and their families To provide midwifery care for in-patients during the postnatal period To support the day to day running of the Edith Dare Ward including multidisciplinary ward rounds Be a mentor to qualified midwives, students and support staff To work collaboratively with the Ward managers and Matrons to provide and develop high quality, safe and effective service To work collaboratively with patients and user representatives to develop the service in response to feedback received including local and national initiatives About usAt Imperial College Healthcare you can achieve extraordinary things with extraordinary people, working with leading clinicians pushing boundaries in patient care.
