including involvement in national audits and PQS auditsEnsure all aspects of our services are risk assessed, and these are updated at relevant intervals and in the event of a critical eventEnsure the business has robust and up to date SOPs in place, with reviews at relevant intervals and in the event of a critical eventEnsure compliance with safe custody and other requirements relating to controlled drugs, and the safe storage, procurement, and handling of all medicinesAssist the SP and DSP with our responses to relevant external consultationsProducing and analysing reports and KPIs to continuously improve the quality and governance of the businessWith the whole team, ensure P2U is always inspection readyDeputise for the Head of Safety and Standards and other members of the team when necessaryManagerial responsibilitiesLine management of the QSM role, and members of the PSP teamActively participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)Be responsible, as part of the SLT, for the definition, delivery and implementation of business strategies that support organisational objectives (OKRs)Take responsibility for compliance with, and implementation of, best practice in your functional areas and oversee quality assurance initiativesMentor, develop and build the capability of your teamLead an organisational culture that supports high performance, employee engagement and organisational effectivenessPromote the mission, vision and values of P2UBuild, manage and maintain productive and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersGeneralShare knowledge and learning with your team and wider organisationProvide support to organisational projects, working groups, committees, etcPromote and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, transformation, and innovation within P2UProactively engage in performance development reviews and actively engaging in opportunities for learning and developmentWho are we looking for?A GPhC-registered pharmacist with a minimum of five years post-registration experience, including at least one year within a Professional Standards or Superintendent Pharmacist team.A confident leader with proven experience in line management and mentoring of pharmacy professionals, able to influence both senior stakeholders and frontline teams.In-depth knowledge of pharmacy legislation, NHS regulatory requirements, and governance best practices, including familiarity with GPhC inspection criteria and controlled drug legislation.Skilled in policy development, incident investigation, SOP writing, and regulatory response, with a strong grasp of quality improvement methodologies.Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex regulatory frameworks and applying them effectively in practice.Demonstrated ability to manage risk, lead audits, and utilise governance tools such as root cause analysis and risk assessments.Calm and composed under pressure, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.Passionate about patient safety, professional excellence, and continuous improvement, with a commitment to upholding the values of Pharmacy2U in all interactions.What happens next?Please click apply and if we think you are a good match, we will be in touch to arrange an interview.Applicants must prove they have the right to live in the UK.All successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check.Unsolicited agency applications will be treated as a gift.#INDHP
