On behalf of our client, a leading West Midland based, tier 1 automotive supplier, we are currently looking to recruit a CMM Technician/Metrology Technician to support day to day activities in order to achieve highest quality and right first time. As Metrology Technician, you will be required to work across a 3 shift system, 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, and 22:00 06:00hrs and will be responsible for: Performing measurements of first off/last off parts using CMM Machines and portable scanning arm. Performing measurements using traditional hand held equipment such as Micrometers, Calipers, etc and present results to Lead Quality or Quality Manager Perform capability studies along with Gauge R&R Studies to ensure repeatability in the production process. Analyse data using statistical techniques (SPC) and complete inspection reports on all measured components Assistance in the control and maintenance of CMM programs in line with customer requirements . The successful candidate will be able to: Demonstrate previous experience in using LK Camio or PCDMIS software to operate CMM. Write/modify CMM programs using LK Camio software. Able to review critical data and generate informative reports in line with SPC Demonstrate high level problem-solving techniques, particularly versed with 8D This is an excellent opportunity to join a Midland based tier 1 supplier that can boast a high end, exclusive OEM base, one that continues to organically grow and are investing in both people and facilities.
