Carefully review new claims by checking medical, financial, and job-related information. Actively manage ongoing claims, clearly explain decisions to members (mainly by phone), set the right expectations, and keep thorough records. Refer to managers, medical officers, reinsurers, or others when needed. Support less experienced team members by sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and leading case study discussions to help them grow. Lead or contribute to projects that improve efficiency and streamline claims and administration processes. Handle complaints, including those involving the Financial Ombudsman, following all regulations and internal procedures. Act as a subject matter expert, representing the Claims team and offering insights to help guide decisions and manage risks. Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
