Workshop Fitter 26674/610 Monmouth / Wales A well-established and successful manufacturer, this company is recognised as the market-leading brand within the industry and has a reputation for quality and innovation that is supported by its excellent technical team. They are currently looking to strengthen the Workshop team with the appointment of a new mechanical fitter. Role & Responsibilities: Prepare, assemble, test and service company products and equipment in a safe, efficient and effective way. Diagnose faults and perform repairs on pumps, valves, piping and other mechanical/electrical components. Perform preventative maintenance on products/equipment, checking for damage or defects, reporting and repairing as required Submit proposals for improvements to products and equipment or processes Ensure any necessary administration and paperwork is completed accurately, in full and on time Provide support and absence cover to other yard / workshop roles when needed Keep tools and equipment in good conditions and stored in the correct place when not in use, and promptly reporting any defects to your line manager Qualifications, Skills and Attributes: NVQ Level 2/3 in mechanical/electrical engineering, plant maintenance or equivalent work experience Proven experience in a Workshop Fitter or similar role Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits and mechanical components would be advantageous.
