Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.About the role:As Chef you will be required to ensure that nutritious, and beautifully presented meals are provided for our residents, update menues, kitchen checks, ordering of food, lead the kitchen teamAs Kitchen Assistant you are responsible food preparation, simple cooking, serving of food, Washing up after meals. Ensuring all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area (and where appropriate the dining areas) is carried out effectively.About you:You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standards for residents in our care. You will be an energetic, friendly team player with good organisation and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure effectively. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to residents with varying needs, tastes and dietary requirements.Ideal candidates will have previous residential home or hotel experience with the ability to prepare meals for 50 or more residents. You will be dependable and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the home.Qualifications:The post holder is expected to possess or be willing to work towards achievement of at least Catering (C&G) or NVQ 3.
