Position Summary: Undertake activities within the QC Chemistry laboratory in support of the analytical function of the department. These will include document writing (Scientific Reports, Specifications, SOPs, etc) and update and maintenance of LIMS specifications. Responsibilities: To plan and prioritize day to day workload in line with the laboratory’s requirements and adapt and be flexible, meetinganalystsneeds and expectations.To perform basic analytical tasks such as appearance,pHand other physical tests.To book in laboratory samples.To prepare glassware for analysis.To perform second analyst checks for subjective tests.Tomaintainthe laboratory stock of chemicals and consumable items.To prepare laboratory solutions to be used in GMP analysis (salt solutions/buffers/diluents/mobile phases/analytical standards)To order items as the need arises, including gaining approvals to order and collaborating closely with suppliers to drive cost savings.To ensure expired chemicals are taken out of use.Performance checks on items of equipment (balances, pH meters etc) to ensure they are available for use.To support the use of the LIMS system asrequired.To be flexible and adaptable in working in different areas within the laboratoryif and whenrequired.To carry out any other tasks which may berequiredfrom time to time.To follow GMP requirements and company rules,policiesand procedures.EH&S Understand emergency procedures and follow safe systems of work.Ensure compliance with environment, health and safety rules,signageand instructionsat all times.Ensuretimelyreporting and investigation of all accidents, near misses and breaches of rules.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Nopreviouslaboratory experiencerequired.Ideally educated to A level in a Science based subject.Good Word and Excel skills.Demonstrable organisational skills.Able to work to critical timelines.Effective exchanging of informationProactive approach to tackling demanding activities.Ability to track multiple projects.Ability to collaborate to achieve results.#J-18808-Ljbffr
