Job Title – Customer Service Agent (Repairs) Location – Ashford, Kent Contract – Temporary Hours – Full Time (Monday to Friday) Salary – £16.27 per hour (LTD rate) Role summary – We are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority for a Customer Service Agent to join the Repairs team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative and customer service support in a fast-paced environment. This role involves processing and scheduling repairs, liaising with contractors and operatives, and ensuring accurate record-keeping and efficient communication with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Process and schedule repair requests, including manual intervention when needed. Handle incoming customer calls and emails professionally and in line with service targets. Maintain and update internal systems to ensure accuracy and avoid backlogs. Liaise with contractors to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of works. Support the Repairs Team with administrative duties such as invoicing and surveys. Identify risks or concerns and escalate to management where appropriate. Ensure compliance with data protection, health & safety, and safeguarding policies. Provide cover for other functions across the organisation as required.Requirements: 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English at grade 4 or above. Previous administrative experience, ideally in a housing or repairs environment. Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and other MS Office applications.
