We are a private mental health clinic that is changing the way we treat eating disorders in the UK.Role Overview:The position of Kitchen Assistant supports the Head Chef in the delivery of our onsite food preparation and food service to our onsite clients Monday to Friday. This is a dynamic and fundamental role for the smooth running of our kitchen. We prepare lunch, dinner and two snacks per day.Main Duties and Responsibilities:The Kitchen Assistant will provide daily support to the Head Chef and the wider team with:Basic meal preparation.Unloading and storage of food and beverage deliveries.General cleaning of the kitchen and dining area, including dishes, cutlery, work surfaces, fridge/freezer ect.Serving of food as required.Help the head chef and the rest of the kitchen team to run the service smoothly and efficiently.Desired skills and expertise:Level 1 Food Hygiene and COSHH certificates (training can be provided if required).An interest in food / catering preparation preferable.Ability to work without direct supervision.Keen to work within a team environment.Has high level of physical stamina and ability to work consistently in a busy kitchen environment.In addition, any ad hoc requirements required within the postholders skill set to support Orri may be required.Benefits:Working for a CQC rated 'Outstanding' service in all 5 areasMonday to Friday work pattern33 days annual leave including bank holidays and the service closure over ChristmasSignificant opportunity to lead in service development and expansion with particular focus on client safety and careEnhanced maternity/paternity/adoption packageEnhanced disclosure check cost coveredComprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing trainingOnline benefits and cashback rewards schemesContributory pension scheme with salary sacrifice options.Free Statutory and Mandatory TrainingFree professional development and CPD certified trainingTwo annual corporate events plus additional ad hoc social events throughout the yearCareer development opportunitiesOrri operates a smoke free policy on all premises and grounds.Orri is an equal opportunities employer.
