We are looking to hire an articulate, highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our Commercial team. The role will be based at our office in Witham, Essex.Roles and responsibilities Identify, prepare, and propose Community Foods products to suitable prospective customers.Complete customer tenders in various formats within specified deadlines.Project manage new business for a successful launch, ensuring customer launch dates are met.Support the Trading Director: Ingredients with future tenders in new catering accounts.Support supply chain to solve issues and ensure great supplier service.Accurate forecasting to ensure maximum service levels in all accounts.Develop costings of new products that align with the profit aspirations of both parties.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure long term success.Visit customer sites as and when required.Support the Retail Account Controller: Retail in their absence.Essential SkillsThe right candidate will have be able to demonstrate a high degree of commercial acumen, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.You will have strong negotiation skills and be able to use these to ensure a good outcome for both parties.Community Foods prides itself on excellent customer service, and you will be able to give examples of where you have provided this at your previous roles.Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is essential, while knowledge of SAP and Reflex forecasting software is desirable.Ideally, you will have at least 1 year's experience in an FMCG/wholesale/foodservice sales development role, and be educated to A-Level or equivalent standard.
