We anticipate, innovate and flex around our customers needs and it takes a great team to do this.What you'll do:Responsible for accurate data analysis of the Revenue Protection (ticket fares) and Security department including external security contractors.Responsible for accurate data analysis of British Transport Police (BTP) crime data.Responsible for taking statements for staff assaults and providing these to c2c and the BTPResponsible for ensuring accurate delivery of the c2c Care and Support System Maintain accurate records and create periodic reports for the departmentTo minimise the loss of revenue due to fraud and ticketless travel. To create strategies based on the outcome of analysed data.Ensure a good and consistent level of customer service. Ensure the railway byelaws are adhered to by both railway employees and passengers. Carry out administration and report writing as directed.Key Accountabilities:Adhere to all policies that are relevant to the c2c Revenue Protection Department.Ensure compliance with the Department for Transport (DfT) regarding the services offered by c2c Revenue Protection staff.Responsible for all revenue protection, security, safeguarding and BTP analysis in an accurate, professional and quality manner always reflecting the c2c brand values and strategy.Attend all operational, team or strategy briefings and adhere to all safety requirements where directed.Develop effective relationships within c2c, and with User Groups and other customer bodies, including the BTP, Local Authorities, community organisations and businesses.Ensure purchase orders and financial administration tasks are carried out in an accurate and timely manner, whilst creating and maintaining a budgetary report for the department.To develop and implement agreed key performance indicators, that will bring about continuous improvement in ticketless travel and identification of fare evaders to deliver value for money.Liaise with other Train Operating Companies, agencies and the BTP to organise and participate in joint operations.Responsible for the development and collation of both weekly and periodic reports detailing areas of analysis and activity throughout the department.During service disruption Revenue Protection Analyst duties may be curtailed and Customer Care duties may be carried out at stations relevant to the disruption. At times this may be specified by Managers. This may include supervision of rail replacement buses. When working at stations, ensure that the immediate area is safe, clean and presentable. Any anomalies or issues should be reported to the relevant department.To use relevant databases to aid in identifying and investigating possible fraudulent activity.To develop and disseminate to revenue protection staff data packs on possible targets for fare evasion.Deputise for other roles within the Revenue Protection department as required.To conduct quality and compliance audits, where required.To liaise with station staff and HQ functions in relation to individual customer cases for the authorisation of duplicate tickets, including highlight and mitigate against fraudulent claims.Explore new, and use existing and future technology to meet business requirements, including the development of artificial intelligence to see potential fare evaders.Undertake any other duties that the post holder is competent to carry out safely as instructed by the Senior Revenue Protection Management Team.Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Desired:Previous experience in a data analysis/administration type of role (Essential)A good standard of general education is required, particularly in relation to mathematics and statistical analysis.Knowledge of ticket and identification types.Knowledge of procedures relating to revenue protection.Knowledge of the c2c network including its geography. Knowledge of Customer Information Systems for customer service.Sound practical experience in Health and Safety, welfare and other related matters, including c2c alcohol and drugs policy and HR procedures.A high degree of computer literacy, including using spreadsheets and databases.A good standard of people management, written, numerical, and analytical skills.Knowledge of the National Rail Conditions of Travel and Railway Byelaws.You will need to be a positive minded, forward thinking person who is customer focused and committed to delivering an excellent service.
