They design bespoke solutions that integrate electrical panels, hardware PLCs, and mechanical components, providing innovative systems to industries like power generation, oil and gas, and waste incineration.With a team of around 30 and an annual turnover of 6 million, this growing company combines a strong reputation with a collaborative and supportive environment, offering exciting opportunities for talented engineers.The Role:As an Electrical Design Engineer , you'll take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning. Working within a close-knit engineering team, you'll be designing, testing, and supporting control systems tailored to individual client needs.Your key responsibilities will include:Creating wiring diagrams, schematics, and control panel layouts using AutoCAD ElectricalPerforming cable sizing and circuit breaker calculationsProducing documentation such as I/O schedules, test specs, and Functional Design Specifications (FDS)Selecting and specifying instrumentation such as thermocouples, RTDs, and pressure sensorsOverseeing testing and occasionally commissioning systems on-site (UK, Europe, Offshore optional)Collaborating with project managers and other engineers to ensure high-quality, integrated solutionsWhat We're Looking For:To thrive in this role, you'll need:A background in Electrical Design Engineering , ideally with control panels or rotating machineryWorking knowledge of PLCs, I/O systems, and field instrumentationProficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (or similar)Ability to calculate wiring sizes and select suitable protectionA hands-on, curious, and personable approachWillingness to be office-based initially, with hybrid flexibility after six monthsThe Benefits: Competitive salary up to 55,000 depending on experience Overtime paid at 1.3x weekdays and 1.6x weekends Flexible start/finish times Hybrid working Generous holiday allowance Pension scheme Career progression into Project Management availableHow to Apply:If you're an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on exciting projects in a growing business, we want to hear from you!ATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
