DUTIES Your duties as the Bodyshop Prepper / Vehicle Prepper include: Expert Vehicle Preparation: Prepping vehicles prior to painting, including comprehensive sanding (wet and dry), effective degreasing, and precise feather edging to ensure optimal paint adhesion and a flawless finish Precision Masking: Executing accurate and efficient masking vehicles prior to painting, utilising a range of materials (tape, paper, film) to protect unpainted areas and create crisp, professional paint lines. This includes intricate trim masking and component protection Flawless Filler Application: Proficient filler work, including applying, shaping, and sanding body filler to repair minor dents, imperfections, and panel damage, achieving a smooth, seamless surface ready for primer Adherence to Quality Standards: Consistently ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards within the Bodyshop environment. This includes rigorous self-inspection and industry best practices for automotive refinishing General Bodyshop Support: Performing other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the Vehicle Preparation Centre , which may include assisting Paint Technicians, moving vehicles, or light stripping / fitting tasks as required Maintaining a Pristine Workspace: Proactively ensuring work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order.
