Technical Sales - Science Based Job Type: Permanent Salary: 40,000 50,000 basic + commission (up to 60,000) We are supporting a long-established, family-owned scientific company in Bourne End in their search for a commercially focused Business Development Executive . If you have a background in technical sales and a strong academic foundation, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, friendly, and high-performing team. About the Role Identify and win new business through outbound technical sales. Develop cross-selling opportunities with existing customers. Approximately 90% telephone-based with some in-person visits and attendance at UK and international trade shows. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director as part of a close-knit sales team. Key Requirements A 2:1 or First-Class degree in a science-related subject (preferred). Minimum 2 years experience in a technical sales role with clear evidence of success. Excellent spoken and written English. GCSE Maths grade C or above. The role involves quoting in multiple currencies, so strong numeracy is essential. Competent in MS Word and Excel. Full UK driving licence. Based within commutable distance of SL8 or willing to relocate. Willingness to travel internationally for customer visits and trade shows. Desirable Skills Knowledge of a non-English European language. Experience using CRM systems. Background in medical or healthcare-related sales.
