Consultant Clinical or Forensic Psychologist Low Secure Mental Health Part Time: 22.5 hours a week This role will be suitable for an established ConsultantClinical / Forensic Psychologist or a Principal Psychologist who is looking forthat next step up. You will join a team of over 20 Consultant Psychologists,and 50 registered Psychologists based across our 3 sites (Northampton,Birmingham and Essex) and our Community Services. As such, there will be lotsof support but also great opportunities for people to progress in their futuretoo. Main duties of the jobWe are currently seeking an HCPC registered ConsultantClinical or Forensic Psychologist to join our newly commissioned Mens LowSecure ward in the Specialist Recovery Division and play a key senior role inmanaging, shaping and developing the service.The role will work alongsidean already established low secure service in the division too. The successful candidate will contribute to professionalinitiatives across different aspects of the organisation and play a significantpart in developing quality of life and service user involvement terests in risk management and assessment and in developing skills by workingon complex cases including severe mental illness, sexual offending andsubstance misuse are all particularly relevant. You will be joining an expert multi-disciplinary staff groupand work with a team of psychologists who are focussed on delivering a range ofpsychological interventions for a diverse patient group. This is a post for an enthusiastic and experiencedPsychologist with demonstrated leadership abilities and experience of workingclinically with service users who have challenging behaviour and complex mentalhealth problems within inpatient/secure settings. You will need a minimum of 6 years relevantpost qualification experience.There will be good opportunities to developa special interest and conduct applied research relevant to the field.Continuing professional development opportunities are actively encouraged andsupported.
