This is a rare opportunity to blend clinical expertise, retail experience, and a passion for vintage-inspired eyewear in a hands-on, customer-facing role.The RoleAs a qualified Dispensing opticians and General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of both physical locations and our global online store. You will work closely with the existing management and practice teams to maintain high clinical and customer service standards while driving sales and growth across all channels.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the operations of our London and St Albans practices.Dispense eyewear and provide expert optical advice to customers.Lead and support in-store teams, ensuring smooth and effective operations.Manage and oversee eCommerce order fulfilment and customer service communication.Liaise with the customer experience and marketing teams to ensure brand consistency and support promotional campaigns.Contribute to marketing activities and in-store promotions.Uphold and communicate the brands unique identity, ethos, and values in every customer interaction.Analyse business performance, implement strategies to improve sales and streamline processes.Drive and direct the exploration and development of new service or product opportunities in line with the brands growth.Ensure compliance with GOC standards and other relevant optical regulations.About YouQualified Dispensing Optician (GOC registered).Previous experience managing a practice or similar retail/optical environment.Comfortable directing team management or supervising day-to-day store functions.Strong leadership and organisational skills.Hands-on, self-starter, confident working independently and taking initiative.Passionate about eyewear, design, and providing exceptional customer service.Commercially aware with an understanding of eCommerce operations and customer experience management.Previous experience in optical glazing is a bonus.Comfortable working with the founder /current CEO and board to agree direction and execute accordingly.Why Join Black Eyewear?At Black Eyewear, we are not just selling glasses we are sharing a design philosophy rooted in mid-century jazz culture and timeless style.
