Bluestones staffing is working with a leading distribution company in the antrim area and due to continued growth they have a requirement for an immedidate start Driver/Warehouse OperativeRead the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.Hours Monday to Friday 8am -5:30pmLocation Antrim beside Junction oneSalary 26,000 k Per annumDutiesLoad and unload goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring items are stored correctly for easy access.Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.Assist in preparing orders for dispatch, including packing and labelling items accurately.Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse area to promote a safe working environment.Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory levels and any issues that arise during operations.Drive delivery vehicles as needed, in vans, ensuring timely delivery of goods to clients.SkillsPrevious experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork and effective interaction with colleagues.Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including commercial driving experience preferred.Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for operating equipment and performing basic maintenance tasks.Must have van driving experienceNo more than 3 points on licenseMust have good georgrpical knowledgeA proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.Capability to work efficiently under pressure while adhering to safety protocols.If you are interested in this role Pleasr give Tina or Debbie a call on 02895219313 or email cv to link belowAt Bluestones Staffing , we are committed to ethical recruitment practices and fostering an inclusive workplace.
