Due to increased sales and workload, they are looking to recruit someone from the construction or building industry who can provide design and engineering support on various bespoke, large-scale projects across the UK.As the Design Project Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting site surveys, supporting with the tender process, producing bespoke drawings and BOMs, working closely with the commercial team and internal departments, and assisting with installation and customer queries.We are looking for candidates with construction or build industry background, understanding of engineering principals, knowledge of building regulations, and experience with stress and strength calculations.The Design Project Engineer will be responsible for:Working closely with the commercial team and managers on projectsTravelling to conducting site surveys across the UKProducing technical designs and drawings for customers and the tender processCreating BOMsConducting stress and strength calculationsSupporting various bespoke projects from tender to installationDealing with customer queries and providing product knowledge via telephone or emailAttending internal and external meetings regarding to projects and statusSkills and ExperienceExperience within the construction or building industryKnowledge of Engineering principalsKnowledge of building regulationsEngineering or design qualification advantageous but not essentialAutoCAD 2D experience EssentialDriving Licence will be essentialStrong communication skillsAble to work independently or as part of a teamThis role would suit a candidate who has previous experience as a Design Engineer / Design Project Engineer / Design Coordinator / Project Engineer / Project Coordinator / Project Design CoordinatorThe application process:Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce.
