To support the smooth and efficient allocation of transport work across by coordinating the daily schedules of over 35 drivers. The Transport Control team handles over 200 incoming calls daily and manages 800-1,100 job allocations, ensuring timely collections and exceptional service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.Key Responsibilities Allocate regular and ad-hoc collections to drivers and contractorsManage route allocation and driver schedules to ensure full coverage, including during sickness or holidaysMonitor and account for all previously allocated work using internal and third-party systemsLiaise with drivers, customers, and internal departments to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on timeProvide customers with waybills, courier bags, and mailbags as requiredSign for incoming packages and notify recipients promptlyOperate forklift trucks (FLT) for loading/unloading vans and lorriesCollaborate with Customer Services, Sales, Logistics, and Operations to resolve customer issues and queriesMaintain accurate records of job allocation and status updatesPerson Specification Essential: Previous experience in a similar transport control or logistics coordination environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood geographical knowledge, especially of London, Birmingham, Bristol, and the Home CountiesAbility to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced and high-pressure environmentExcellent organisational and multitasking abilitiesFlexible approach to working hours, including willingness to work later shifts when required Monday to Friday 9.00-18.00pmSkillsTPBN1_UKTJ
