Note for Recruitment Agencies:Is your CV ready If so, and you are confident this is the role for you, make sure to apply asap.We prefer to hire directly and we will be in touch with our PSL Agencies if this role is eligible for release.Cumming Management Group, a Cost and Project Management Consultancy within the construction industry, provides a wide range of services to clients spanning several different sectors.Cumming Group are seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor in BuckinghamThe role of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor includes the following responsibilities:Supporting and delivery of QS services within our residential team (social housing) fee earning projectsSupport, develop and improve the professional and interpersonal skills of the teamEnsure staff are aware of, and are delivering, their responsibilitiesEnsure clients always receive an exemplary level of service and performance from yourself and the teamAlways represent the company in a professional and confident mannerFull commercial contract administration from tender to final account.Procurement and negotiation process associated to a project and subsequent supply chain management.Production of cost and value reconciliations along with the forecasting on a monthly basis for all projects.Manage the Risk and Opportunity processes, ensuring mitigation measures are identified and implemented at the correct time to benefit the project.Work individually or as part of a team to deliver the client deliverables.Client office and site visits will be required within role.Potential to work on multiple contracts at any one time, with potentially different clients.Ensure that the company standards are adhered to on all works undertaken.Ensure the successful delivery of contracts you are dealing with, in a timely manner and to the highest standards.Key Attributes:The ability to Experience within Social Housing sector.Suitable experience of undertaking QS dutiesBe able to make informed decisions for the benefit of our clientsCommercial negotiation skills in a Quantity Surveying settingEnergetic, self-motivated and able to take a flexible and adaptable approachUnderstanding of contract (JCT suite / NEC)Well organised and able to plan effectively.Possess clear and concise communication skills written and spokenAble to produce both summarised and detailed reportsIT literate, especially in terms of Microsoft Office/ExcelQualifications & Skills:Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or similar technical disciplineWorking towards Chartered status (Preferably)A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitiousLikeable and warm personality which will fit in and become an integral part of the teamA track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlinesCumming Management Group is committed to creating a diverse workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
