You will be responsible for our Children's Assessments Homes based in Burton-Upon-Trent, Buxton, Shifnal (Shropshire), Northwich and Lutterworth (travel between these locations will be required).Our assessment homes offer a lifeline to young people who are in crisis. They provide local authorities with immediate intervention and offer short-term, urgent care, accommodating for both emergency and non-emergency admissions.Over a 12 week period, our young people are offered security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment.Every placement provides excellent levels of residential support, access to education and the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure programme (each home has an AALA licence).Our child centred, tailored and therapeutic assessment model helps us determine what support a young person needs and defines their next steps.Key ResponsibilitiesManagement of the Registered Managers within your region, acting as the Responsible Individual for these homesCreating and maintaining quality services and effective placementsEnsuring that staffing levels are adequate to meet the needs of the home and that rotas are upheldManaging referrals in conjunction with the Registered Managers and Business Development TeamManaging budgets including staffing and maintenance resourcesEnsuring that staff are recruited and trained according to company policy and relevant legalisationEnsuring that the homes have the correct resources and environment in which children can developEnsuring that all Esland policies and procedures are implemented and are followed at all timesEnsuring that all young people experience a placement experience that is personalised to their particular needs, identified through a robust assessment system and placement matchingKeeping effective records, monitoring progress and taking appropriate action to ensure service deliveryConducting staff evaluation & regular supervisions with Registered ManagersLiaising with external support agenciesDeveloping a Regional Development Plan and individual Personal Development Plans for all managers and ensuring their implementationTo ensure that the safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision madeTo support the home managers within your region and ensuring that the homes are running in a cost effective and quality way, delivering excellent outcomes, care experience and customer satisfactionWhat we are looking for from you:Direct knowledge and experience of Ofsted inspections and expectationsExcellent communication skills and a proactive approach to all tasksA minimum of 2 years experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children (within the last 5 years)Experience of leading, supervising and developing Registered ManagersA Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Children and Young Peoples Services (or an accepted equivalent)A full, UK driving licence and access to a vehicleWorking hours: 37.5 hours per week, (Monday to Friday), however you will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the business and take part in the on call rota as part of your roleWhat we can offer you:Salary between 62,000 to 65,000 plus 4,800 car allowance per annumBonus potential up to 13,500 based on outcomes25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysCompany sick pay schemeLife insuranceHealthcare cashback planAccess to GP onlineAccess to the Esland Green Car SchemeEnrolment into Esland pension schemeComprehensive, paid induction training (that is accredited through the Bild Association of Certified Training) and ongoing training within the roleCycle to work schemeA 500 bonus via our 'Refer a Friend schemeMonthly recognition awardsCasual dress codeAccess to big-brand deals and discounts via our employee benefits scheme E-TogetherFree parkingA day off for your birthday (in addition to your holiday entitlement)Access to a holiday home based in the Peak District where you can stay for free, on the company!The opportunity to make a real difference to children's lives!About EslandWith over 35 years of residential childcare experience, the Esland group now has more than 65 residential childrens and assessment homes, and five schools, that are spread across the Kent, Hertfordshire, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Wiltshire, Bedfordshire, Nottinghamshire, West Midlands and Northamptonshire regions of England.This also includes our Esland online school accessible to children throughout the UK which helps to deliver education to children missing education by utilising our specialised Turning the Curve education programme.With over 800 team members and over 200 young people supported we strive to help our children achieve their very best outcomes, through our bespoke residential care, education, therapeutic and activity-led wraparound services.
