We are seeking an experienced Care/Support worker to support a client in Blackburn who is non-verbal and has cerebral palsy. The role involves assisting with daily activities, supporting independence, and engaging in the client’s interests such as football, boxing, and swimming. The position is based on a 1:1 (occasionally 2:1) basis, with 30 contracted hours per week. Benefits:£12.84 per hour DBS paid for by us Full induction and ongoing support Bespoke clinical training Additional pay for training courses Overtime opportunities Pension contributions All training is provided, including e-learning, face-to-face, practical, and clinical training, tailored to meet the client’s needs. Refresher training is regularly offered. Candidate Profile:Self-motivated, organized, reliable, and a team player. Experience in: Incontinence management Moving and Handling (hoisting) Domestic duties (laundry, cleaning, cooking) Supporting travel and social activities, including swimming and hydrotherapy Monitoring health and well-being Supporting non-verbal communication Must have: Excellent communication skills Flexibility for cover during leave and sickness Full clean driving license (wheelchair accessible vehicle use) This role requires an enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.
