Job Introduction Payroll Analyst & Assistant Payroll Manager Location:Head Office, Faversham Contract Type:Full-time 37 hours Salary:£34,000–£38,000 depending on experience Are you an experienced payroll professional ready to take the next step in your career? Join Avante Care & Support as aPayroll Analyst & Assistant Payroll Managerand play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate running of our payroll function across multiple services. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a meaningful organisation that supports over 1,000 older people across Kent and South East London. About The Role You will support the Payroll Manager in overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, managing data analysis and reporting, and helping to drive continuous improvements in payroll operations. The role requires technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong interpersonal abilities. Person Specification Experience & Skills A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Payroll department, with comprehensive exposure to key responsibilities Payroll Specialist Certificate or Foundation Degree in Payroll Management (CIPP) Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex payroll information clearly Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis Experience with Iris Earnie or Zellis payroll software is desirable Strong presentation skills for delivering clear updates Experience in financial and payroll data analysis, identifying trends and anomalies Skilled in data monitoring and documentation, with a focus on reporting improvements Resilient, adaptable, and capable of performing under pressure A team player with a proactive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to motivate and support colleagues collaboratively A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable for travel related to audits and meetings If you’re passionate about payroll, data, and supporting people-focused services, we’d love to hear from you.
