Job Description We are looking for a Caretaker responsible for maintaining the school premises in Newport to ensure a safe and secure environment for everyone within the school. Additionally, the premises should actively support the learning process. Your responsibilities include setting maintenance and repair priorities, ensuring essential services such as IT, gas, electricity, and water are maintained, and liaising with suppliers during outages or when maintenance is needed. You will undertake general repairs and maintenance around the site, inside and out, to ensure safety, and maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials, reordering as needed via the School Administration Manager. Click here to view full job description. Qualifications We seek someone with the following skills and experience: Proven experience working within premises or site management. Experience dealing with external contractors. Ability to take initiative, work independently, and accept responsibility. Excellent record-keeping skills. Willingness to engage in teamwork with multi-agency staff at all levels. Effective organisation of time and work routines to meet targets and outputs.
