They currently have an exciting opportunity for an Extrusion Operator to join their team as soon as possible!Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.This is a permanent opportunity, working 4 on 4 off shift pattern of 2 days, followed by 2 nights (06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00), with average weekly contractual hours of 42 per week.We are looking for someone who has previously worked as an Extrusion Operator, ideally with a packaging company or someone who has a background operating machinery within a manufacturing environment.The basic annual salary for the role is 29,484, with the opportunity for overtime at enhanced rates. The company also offers a quarterly Gainshare scheme, up to 5%.The purpose of the role is to operate and maximise production of Extrusion Department machines which meet customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.Duties of the role will include:-Deliver film to production areas and return all film to stock when requiredSelect materials and operating supplies in accordance with job specificationCarry out job set up in a safe and efficient manner, following warm up and set up proceduresCarry out process inspection checks to ensure product meets specifications, informing results to Team LeadersMonitor machine controls hourly to ensure product quality and safe operationUnload and record product, palletise product in accordance with internal requirementsWeigh and record reels, accurately completing production reports in Mill system to ensure correct time recording and product identificationKeep machine and surrounding area safe, clean and tidyEmpty waste skips during and at end of shift, ensuring that external skips are covered at all timesRemove external packaging and transfer external film from wooden pallets to plastic palletsInform maintenance of any work required to prevent breakdownsAdditional benefits of this role include 20 days holiday, life assurance, company pension scheme, employee assistance programme, occupational health platform and access to the company benefits/discount platform.Please note that a full UK driving licence and own transport is essential, in order to reach the location of the site.Please apply online in the first instance, send your CV to or call Barker Ross Lincoln on 01522 551910 today!Barker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
